Motivation
Every great new emerging organization needs a strong marketing arm. This proposal would fund the alpha season marketing activities that will help build a strong community around on-chain generative art. This includes starting with a new marketing contributor onboarding process of generating content that will promote enthusiasm around collecting generative art, cultivating the growth of generative artists, and expanding the cultural importance of generative art. This proposal includes a bounty program to help empower and motivate all DAO members to create content that helps shape the onboarding process of the marketing committee. The bounty program is a series of tasks that would be open to any DAO member to complete for a predetermined amount of $SQUIG. This means that the allotted $SQUIG for this program would eventually make its way back to DAO members that are motivated and involved.

Funding for Marketing Bounty at SquiggleDAO
Proposal Information
Proposal Description:
Adding initial funds to the marketing committee bounty program for payment if a marketing bounty from the alpha season has been approved as completed and adhering to the requirements in the SquiggleDAO marketing bounty program. The Amount requested for this round is 0.125% of the total mint (12,500 $SQUIG) to be used as compensation for marketing bounties during the alpha season (Seasons last approximately 90 days). If the marketing committee does not use the full amount of SQUIG the remainder will be rolled over into the next season’s bounty program.
What is a season?
A season is a predetermined time period where the SquiggleDAO community members can focus on a set of projects/case studies that help the DAO align and achieve the DAOs greater mission.
Why Seasons?
The Implementation of seasons will allow the DAO to build harmony around what steps we are taking as a community over a period of time to reach the DAOs main goal. The alpha season will allow the marketing committee to be very experimental over the next 90 days building towards our core mission. Our goal is that this alpha season will empower the current members of the DAO to help shape and create the onboarding content to enable new users to become contributors from the start. Creating these onboarding pieces will help SquiggleDAO move forward in continuing to strengthen its position as the leader of generative art space while building a strong community of squigglers and strong relationships with new squigglers.
SquiggleDAO Marketing Committee Alpha Season
This season will focus on four key areas to help build the content vault and empower idle DAO members to become active contributors. The marketing committee will be laser-focused on adding value and utility to the $SQUIG token through partnerships with the curation, acquisition, and community committees. We hope that the bounties that we have set will engage the community through a series of tasks that will build the framework and future on-boarding process for new Squigglers.

Alpha Season is set to start on the date specified in the official snapshot proposal and run for a period of 90 days.
Content Production
Generating interest in SquiggleDAO through organically grown content is our goal. $SQUIG would be used to incentivize DAO members to utilize their networks and skill sets to produce marketing content.
Examples:
- Artist interviews - both inside and outside of the DAO
- Educational Content around Squiggles, generative art, etc.
- Generative art opinion pieces
SquiggleDAO members would be encouraged to submit any sort of material to the marketing team for review. If this material was approved and used in any manner by SquiggleDAO the marketing team would compensate the producer with $SQUIG. The $SQUIG amount would be voted on by the marketing team and would fall within the parameters outlined in the bounty program Google Doc found here.
Media Collaborations
Increase the awareness of the SquiggleDAO brand by sponsoring some NFT-focused podcasts (e.g. Zyma Red, Modern Finance, Bankless) and by doing collaborations (sponsoring, guest post, interview, etc.) with other media outlets in the space (e.g. Art Blocks Newsletter, AB After Dinner Mints).
Social Media Engagement
Building up Twitter and Discord engagement will help generate awareness of and interest in SquiggleDAO. $SQUIG would be used to fund social media engagement activities.

- Twitter Engagement activities
- Meme contests
- Likes/Retweets contest for most impressions
Gallery Partnerships
SQUIG would be used as collateral to help secure partnerships with both real-world galleries and those in the metaverse.
Examples:
- DAO member CryptoProwess is currently in talks with the Leonardo Museum in Salt Lake City, UT for an NFT installment that would include Squiggles.
- DAO member sofiagarcia has determined that the DAO could elect to sell a piece at an auction in Miami, FL in December.
The marketing committee will tackle these goals through a bounty program allowing community members of all levels of engagement and skill-sets access to contribute to the immediate tasks and projects for this season.
*In the spirit of transparency, the marketing team will maintain a report of all bounties completed and their associated SQUIG transfers. This report will be available to all DAO members via a new Discord channel and running Google Docs.
*All bounties are subject to change at any moment based on the value of $SQUIG.
