Summary
This a proposal to launch a seasonal cadence for the DAO to deliver on it's mission, starting with Season Green (Season 1). This is a 90 program window with a specific budget and desired outcome.
SQUIG Quantity (if any)
400,000 SQUIG
100,000 allocated to Curation, Acquisition, Marketing and Community Squads, respectively
Motivation
The Implementation of seasons will allow the DAO to build harmony around what steps we are taking as a community over a period of time to reach the DAOs main goal. We have selected to name our seasons after the colors of a Squiggle. Today we announce our first Season: Green "Green Season".
This is rapidly becoming a 'best practice' for DAOs to enable focused value creation while maintaining the ability to iterate on teams and methods.
A vote For SDIP
Each committee will receive an allocation of 100,000 SQUIG for Green Season initiatives
A vote Against SDIP

Introducing SquiggleDAO Green Season
Fr: SquiggleDAO Strategy Dept
1337 Squiggle Square
SquiggleDAO, The Internet.
Pre-Season Recap
SquiggleDAO is named for the eponymous Chromie Squiggle, the first project launched on the ArtBlocks platform in the fall of 2020. The genesis team of SquiggleDAO summoned the DAO into existence on the day they first passed through the Squiggle Gate and into Squiggle Square. From that day to this, the call of the DAO has been heard from Squiggle collectors across the internet. Over 1500 friends have visited our Discord and more than 1000 certified Squiggle Holders have successfully joined SquiggleDAO
At our core SquiggleDAO is a decentralized art house and foundry for on-chain generative art. Our primary mission is to collect generative art, Chromie Squiggles foremost in the collection, and to promote generative artists to pursue their craft.
We are accomplishing this task with the help of the $SQUIG token. $SQUIG is the voting token for SquiggleDAO proposals. There are many ways to receive SQUIG, and this proposal is designed to accelerate the distribution of SQUIG to community members and beyond.
What is a Season?
A season is a predetermined time period where the SquiggleDAO community members can focus on a set of projects/case studies that help the DAO align and achieve the DAOs greater mission.
Why Seasons?
The Implementation of seasons will allow the DAO to build harmony around what steps we are taking as a community over a period of time to reach the DAOs main goal. We have selected to name our seasons after the colors of a Squiggle. Today we announce our first Season: Green.
Committee Allocation
A SquiggleDAO Committee is a group of DAO members that have elected to focus their efforts on a specific aspect of the DAOs mission. It enables DAO members who are not Genesis Team members to take leadership roles within the organization. The currently designated committees are: Marketing, Acquisition, Curation, and Community.
For the Green Season, the squiggleDAO will be allocating a total of 4% of the total SQUIG supply (400,000 SQUIG) to all committees. The funds will be distributed as follows:
Each committee will have a max allocation of 100,000 SQUIG for Green Season expenses. The funds are to be used at their own discretion as long as is aligned with the DAOs mission and broader roadmap; Funds are to be requested per-project basis using the forum governance proposal. If the amount exceeds 5,000 SQUIG for a specific project, a snapshot vote is required, otherwise a simple forum poll will be used. All the funds will be held in the treasury and the payout allocation will run on a per project basis or monthly for pre-approved projects/tasks. If by the end of Green Season the funds are not fully utilized the remaining allocation will roll back to the DAO treasury. The multisig team will be using a combination of gnosis safe airdrop feature or disperse.app for funds distribution;
Contributors Onboarding
For Green Season we will be implementing an onboarding process for committee contributors. We will be using a screening process to identify contributors and coordinate for SQUIG reward distribution. In addition we will be introducing:
Weekly Town hall: Every week, the Genesis team will host a community town hall with committees presenting to sync and update ongoing work across committee and DAO.
Weekly committee meetings: As has already been established, each of the 4 committees will hold a weekly meeting to move their seasonal projects forward. Any member of the community is free to join any of these meetings.
A public contributors task list: Trello will be the new home of a public and regularly updated roadmap so that contributors can see who is working on what and what tasks the DAO needs completed.
Coordinate distribution
An allocation of up to 50,000 SQUIG will be allocated for the end of the season SquiggleFest to be distributed to the top contributors based on their contributors and value-creation within the DAO. Each committee can nominate up to 5 recipients that will be voted on by the community as a whole who will share in the allocation.
Governance Process
SDIP: SquiggleDAO Improvement Proposal
An SDIP is a proposal to update some function or standard with the DAO. SDIPs can vary widely from proposing new initiatives, to requesting funds from the Treasury, to electing members. The SDIP proposal process largely follows the same behavior as Ethereum's EIP process.
This is a high level overview of an SDIP lifecycle:
Discord: For all Informal discussion and idea signaling. This is an informal process to gauge community interest in a potential SDIP.
Governance Forum: Members can create a formal proposal on the forum following the proposal template. Consensus is reached:
If the proposal has >90% agreement, it goes to a Snapshot vote.
If not, then:
Governance Call & Discussion
If it passes, goes to a Snapshot vote
Implementation by the parties involved with the improvement
Once a contributor feels they have a rough consensus that their idea is valuable, original, and achievable they should submit a SDIP request to create an SDIP #. Submit an SDIP request here and an Editor will take care of it.
DAO Membership
With the recent contribution round #3, SquiggleDAO is bigger than just Chromie Squiggles. We collected contributions from Framergence and Algobot holders, who, for unknown reasons, may not have a Chromie Squiggle in their wallet. We want these SQUIG holders to be active members in SquiggleDAO. So, for Green Season we will be revamping discord access authentication to enable SQUIG. Any squig holder holding a min of 1000 SQUIG can have access to Squiggle Square and governance channels.
What’s Next
Join us for our Green Season Town Hall, this Monday 26th on our discord. A finalized version of this proposal will be put up on the governance forum to gauge consensus then if approved put up for voting on Snapshot.
From there, join a committee, roll up your sleeves, and GET SQUIGGLING!
