Abstract
Ensuring that SquiggleDAO has a consistent presence on Social Media is an integral part of our mission. Currently, these activities are done by Squigglers that volunteer and/or have other significant time commitments in other areas. Therefore this proposal is to formalize these activities into a “Social Media Manager” role.
Motivation
As briefly outlined in the abstract:
For SquiggleDAO to grow, it is essential that we have not only a consistent presence on Social Media, but also a clear communication strategy.
The initial focus will be Twitter, but medium term we would like to expand the role to more platforms: Twitter Spaces, YouTube, podcasts, Instagram, etc.
High quality standards are key given the high impact and public nature of many aspects of the role.
Currently, these tasks are done by Squigglers with no formalized role or standardized practices. Thus, there is a need for one or several individuals to “own” this process going forward.
Success Conditions
Candidates will be asked to provide:
Social media portfolio (either on personal accounts or professional accounts)
2 ideas for how to generate more engagement for SquiggleDAO’s Twitter
They will be judged upon:
Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality standards –with a personal touch– in the key tasks of the role: tweeting, creating memes and infographics, engaging the community for ideas / content, replying and interacting with people, collaborating with other DAOs, etc.
Fit with SquiggleDAO tone of voice
