Mural World Tour
Sponsored on behalf of Marketing Squad via Whatsupwally and AlecUrtu Proposal to launch a collaborative Mural Painting Project with frensHouse and esteemed traveling graffiti art collective Wet Paint. SquiggleDAO will work in partnership with frensHouse and Wet Paint co-founder Persue1 to produce a mural that will go up during Ethereum Denver Conference.
The Squiggle represents a moment in art history representing the precipice of a movement in generative art. Graffiti art is a cultural medium that carved out much of what is popular among TradArt currently. Graffiti art has come a long way from underground subways to Paris Fashion Week Runway shows and is a staple on museum floors.
The masters of aerosol are often overlooked as the wave of street art became popular within the last 10 years. We believe this collaboration is a way to combine iconic movements in TradArt and Digital Art in a way that connects the meatspace with the metaverse.
Producing a collaborative mural with Persue1 at ETH Denver is a way of subtly showcasing the Chromie Squiggle in the meatspace.
Our team will measure the following KPI’s to determine whether this proposal was successful:
- Follower Growth - Track Follower growth from launch weekly for 2-3 Weeks. A good uptick in followers on Twitter is a good indicator of success. We are aiming for 1-5% follower growth.

- Social Interaction (RT, Comments, likes, and subscribers) - Hash Tags such as #SquiggleMural for the project can help keep track of social engagement. We can estimate project reach via these numbers. Social Calendar will be provided via frensHouse to be amplified via SquiggleDAO accounts. We are aiming for 20 retweets, 20 comments and 100 likes across the chosen hashtag
- Amplification - Press Release will be serviced via frensHouse to prominent web2 digital and analog publishers such as Hypebeast, HiFructose, Complex, High Snobiety, Modern Notoriety, ArtNet. Any press hits from this initial project should be considered a success.
These can all be baseline metrics to judge success for future projects.
First mural target is ETH Denver - February 11-20. We propose a launch date of 02/17/22 as that seems to be the main kick off date in their schedule.
We will kick off the mural project with Wet Paint’s co-founder Persue1.
There will be an intro meeting between SquiggleDAO and the artist to discuss creative.
Artwork will go through up to 2-3 rounds of revisions
Artist will paint the mural upon artwork approval
A POAP will also be created based off of the approved artwork.
We can pilot the mural project to be activated by frensHouse and Wet Paint.
Introduction: Artist AMA on SquiggleDAO Discord Voice Channel - 02/04/22
We should announce the mural project to the community and introduce the rest of the DAO to Persue via a Discord event.
Creative: Meeting between Persue and SquiggleDAO - 02/04/22-02/06/22
This is an initial meeting to discuss the creative direction of the mural. This mural is currently in discussion between Gregg and Snowfro. We are waiting for confirmation to proceed forward.
Review & Approval: Artwork to be finalized by 02/11/22
Persue will provide between 2-3 rounds of edits and revisions to make sure all parties are satisfied with the artwork.
Artwork must be approved by SquiggleDAO - Gregg (Board of Squiggle Strategy), homerfan33 (Marketing Squad) and Art Blocks - Erick Calderon
In the chance that artwork is not approved, SquiggleDAO and frensHouse will split a project kill fee. No $SQUIG will be awarded in such scenario.
Marketing & Promotion:
02/03/22 - Persue Discord AMA + Announce Mural Project
02/10/22 - Teaser images of upcoming artwork will be created to build anticipation. Images will be distributed via social channels
02/11/22 - SquiggleDAO is headed to ETH Denver graphic is shared via social channels
02/14/22 - Approved Mural artwork is teased via social media
02/15/22 - Work on mural begins. Images and video of mural process are distributed via social channels.
02/16/22 - POAP revealed. Details on how to get the POAP are promoted via social channels. Fans must come to mural location to get their POAP.
02/17/22 - Mural is completed on this date and will be on view for 1 month. Hopefully everyone loves the mural and it can live on longer/permanently. We can have an outdoor jam session with food and drinks to celebrate the completion of the mural and let people interact with Persue.

3.5 Miles from ETH Denver Conference. Photos do not represent photo of actual wall, but provides context for the neighborhood that the wall is located in. RiNo or River North District is the art hub of the city. It’s a high foot traffic part of the city and one of the top tourist destinations in the city.
Interactivity: As an incentive to discover the mural, a POAP QR code is included, allowing those who do find the piece a chance to earn the POAP.
Discovery: Commissioning a short video docu-series or movie-style trailer explaining the mural project could be a great way of creating engaging content to promote the campaign but can also be used as collateral to send to PR contacts. Segments interviewing the artist, representatives from SquiggleDAO, Simply Augmented, etc. will help explain why graffiti is important and how SquiggleDAO is embracing the artform. This could be very compelling content as well as a vehicle to create hype.
Follow-up to launch:
Hire a photographer to shoot something creative with the mural as a backdrop. Use this commissioned work for marketing content or possibly mint as an NFT
